Getting Started

For those of you just starting, we recommend:

  1. A good Bible translation (ESV, NASB, etc.)
  2. A good study Bible (we love the ESV Study Bible!)
  3. Training Hearts, Teaching Minds by Starr Meade as a starting devotional based on the Westminster Shorter Catechism
  4. Family Driven Faith, by Voddie Baucham
  5. The DVD, Gather the Family, by the Franklin Springs Media

Getting Deeper

As your household gets deeper into the D6 mentality, naturally, questions will come up about theology, bible difficulties, science, and other matters. You may also want to vary up your training and begin teaching the family to share and defend their faith biblically or pray in certain areas. Here are some humble recommendations:

  1. Answers Books 1, 2, & 3 by Ken Ham. These are great apologetics resources that defend a biblical worldview and address issues like evolution, creation, etc.
  2. The School of Biblical Evangelism by Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron
  3. Systematic Theology, by Wayne Grudem
  4. Operation World, The Definitive Prayer Guide to Every Nation by Jason Mandryk
